I have realised that I do give alot of myself in my blog…. brief moment of fear that I am shattering illusions and having people know much more about me than they really want to know. I wonder whether people a) enjoy it, b) are freaked out by it c) find it helpful to understand me more, or d) find it completely self absorbed and are sick of it?
Now in complete self centredness I am going to post a message on facebook saying I have posted stuff on my blog so people read this message! Aghhh!
h.
In my opinion, this is your blog … this is your space in the world to write about what interests you … somebody’s blog really should be the most self absorbed part about them don’t you think? I know mine is. I think if you start writing articles for what you think other people will enjoy then you might as well start an online magazine or other mass produced publication. I find blogs interesting because you never know what you’re going to find on any given day.
You shouldn’t be so concerned. Your posts are more engaging than you seem to think (I like them). It’s interesting to see the logic of your life decisions laid out in writing. Different from talking to you. Keep writing!!
I think that blogs are designed to be used this way. Its you decision to share your thoughts (for whatever reason but probably because you find it helpful and enjoy writing about it) and its our decision to read them, usually because its (a) enjoyable and interesting and (b) honesty about a common experience that we all related to one way or another.
I remember having similar blogging fears when I wrote ‘Becs Odyssey’ the fear that people would see or know too much about me. But at the end of the day its a creative outlet and just as personal as a song or a painting or any other creative process can be.
Hey little H
let me know if I have the write blog.
yup, cause there only is one little h! You should know that Rodg! xx
and perhaps having me post as Raffycat would be another clue…..
Smiles, hugs and puppies with floppy ears! The big bad world does have a few nice parts in it
Don’t fret that the legal proffession is not what you imagined it would be like. I did try to tell you that it was a lot more like me than it was like you
I have every confidence that you will find a law firm with the same moral and ethical values that you hold. It perhaps says something sad about the world that there are more firms with the same moral views as me, namely none. Don’t you change a bit. Just because the profession is not good enough for you does not mean you have to come down to its level… make it rise to yours.
The ever evil Rodg.
